about

ChiOri is today a boutique new media company working with various clients from the US and EU.

BIRDIE
His technology career begain in 1997 while creating the Santa Monica Film Festival & Moxie Awards in Los Angeles. The event’s shoe-string budget forced Birdie to find new alternatives to administrate and market the festival on a zero budget.  Technology gave him that opportunity.  Hence the festival was one of the first of its kind to grow entirely from the web-out. Programming, administration, marketing, ticketing and even web-streaming (a novelty at the time) become entirely web-based. This experience in conjunction with basic gorilla marketing gave way to what is today ChiOri Media.

Birdie attended the Lisbon School of Art & Design and was fortunate to travel throughout Europe extensively. Later, he extended his studies in marketing at SMC (Santa Monica College)  and UCLA.   He’s fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese.

TIBOR
Tibor began his IT career when he was 18, working in a start-up company that built VOIPs in Switzerland. Tibor’s focus was technical research and development in the network operation center.  He later began working in a large data-center where he managed  the build-up  the framework using Informix, Linux and Unix technologies.
He has successfully reprogrammed the master-processing systems of commercial insurance companies in Switzerland. Tibor is an avid cross fitness trainer and well respected endurance athlete.  He continues his studies in law and economics

NICK
Nick started as a web developer in the early 90′s in New Orleans, LA. In those days, the web developer was the entire team and he was required to learn the whole job from consulting, to design, to development and, eventually, programming. As a result, he was privilege to work on projects such as the original Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse site, Cafe Du Monde, The Louisiana Superdome and many of New Orleans famous hotels like the Royal Sonesta. This background has prepared him with the understanding and patience to work with designers and programmers and bridge the gap between technology, information and design.Over the past 15 years, Nick has worked in both large firms doing work for clients such as BellSouth, The Coca-Cola Company and King & Spalding as well as having worked with some of the top consulting firms in the country, such as Definition 6, Engauge Digital, and BellSouth Online.
